Burns made her debut on television in 1995, playing the character Peg in the role of a support on the Spanish American comedy for teens Out of the Blue (from 1995 until 1996). Burns was a part of Baywatch, an action-drama series in 1998. Following that, she appeared on the show as Baywatch: Hawaii. Burns then left Baywatch due to her first pregnancies.
