Nancy O'Dell's professional career started in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as an anchor and news reporter with WPDE-TV. Later she was a morning-news anchor as well as a crime reporter at WCBD TV. O'Dell's stories in Charleston concerning the lack of leniency by police regarding DUI cases, prompted the State Law Enforcement Division to investigate. This led to state authorities issuing more strict regulations in these cases. Ms. O'Dell won her Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. Following her work in Charleston O'Dell served as co-anchor and investigative reporter for NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to her move to Access Hollywood as a weekend co-anchor and weekday correspondent.
